Arash Moussavian Entertainment Law

A misdemeanor conviction not only mentally weighs on you, but may also negatively affect your ability to secure employment in this tough job market, which in turn affects you and your family’s future.  I am able to file a petition on your behalf with the court requesting your misdemeanor conviction to be expunged.  Once the court grants this petition it will set aside your original misdemeanor conviction.  This means you will no longer be considered convicted of the misdemeanor crime.  This will allow you to pursue employment opportunities with confidence and to honestly answer in almost all scenarios that you have never been convicted.

I specialize in misdemeanor expungements and have successfully helped hundreds of people forget their past.  My expertise allows me not only to provide expedited, specialized legal service, but to also provide my misdemeanor expungement service at the lowest fixed price due to my low price guarantee.  I will handle your case from beginning to end.  I am so confident that I can get your misdemeanor expunged that I offer a 100% money back guarantee.

Unique Tailored Approach to Misdemeanor Expungement

No two misdemeanor cases are identical.  It is critical that the attorney you hire actually spends the time to understand the unique details of your case.  I pride myself on taking a tailored approach to your case allowing me to identify the strongest arguments to make to the court on your behalf.  This tailored approach gives me the best chance of obtaining a successful outcome in your misdemeanor expungement case.

No Hidden Fees

Beware of law firms that have hidden fees on their misdemeanor expungement service (e.g., processing fees, hearing fees, etcetera).  I offer low fixed pricing, which means you know what your misdemeanor expungement will cost upfront with no hidden fees.  My single low price covers everything from start to finish.

Open Communication

The most common complaint I hear from new clients is difficulty in getting their previous attorney to return a call.  I am different.  I value open communication throughout the misdemeanor expungement process and will keep you updated on your case status throughout the process.  I promise to be prompt in replying to your emails and returning your telephone calls.  I take your trust seriously.  I understand that open communication is a big part of a successful attorney-client relationship.

Stress-Free Misdemeanor Expungement Process

I promise a stress-free expungement process.  I will handle everything from start to finish, which means drafting all moving papers, serving the moving papers on all interested parties, dealing directly with the district attorney, and attending all hearings on your behalf.  You are not required to attend the hearing 99% of the time.  I know the specific requirements to successfully obtain a misdemeanor expungement allowing me to complete your expungement faster than other law firms that do not specialize in this area of law.

Criminal Database Updating After Misdemeanor Expungement

All criminal databases used for employment background checks, private and public, will automatically update within 30 days after your misdemeanor expungement is complete.  You should never pay a company or law firm for any service that claims to “expedite” this updating process.

Expedited Misdemeanor Expungement Service

I am able to expedite my misdemeanor expungement service in most counties reducing the average six-12-week processing time to 30 days for those that need to put their past behind them in a hurry.  This expedited service is only an extra $300.  If you are interested in this service please call me to find out if expedited service is available in the county where your conviction took place.

California Misdemeanor Expungement Summary

The California state legislature has decided people deserve a fresh start after a misdemeanor conviction presuming you have successfully completed all probation and sentence requirements.  Penal Code 1203.4 allows a person with a misdemeanor conviction to petition the court to have it re-open the case, set aside the conviction, and dismiss the case (i.e., to expunge the misdemeanor conviction from your record).  This process reverses your original conviction, which means you will no longer be considered convicted of the misdemeanor by the state and your criminal record will be permanently changed to display a dismissal rather than a misdemeanor conviction.  You can then answer “no” on employment and rental applications when asked if you have a criminal record giving you increased marketability in a tough job market where over 80% of employers conduct criminal backgrounds checks.

If you have been convicted of a misdemeanor in California, your conviction is eligible for Penal Code 1203.4 misdemeanor expungement relief if you satisfy the criteria below:

     1. You were charged and convicted in state not federal court.  If you are unsure, it is highly likely that your case took place in state court because the vast majority of criminal cases are state cases.

     2. Your sentence did not involve going to state prison.  County jail and holding cells are not state prison.

     3. You have successfully completed probation, or if you were not given probation, one year has passed since your conviction date.  If you are still on probation, hope exists in the form of my early termination of your probation service.

     4. You must have satisfied all the requirements of your sentence (e.g., paid all fines, paid all restitution, completed mandatory programs, completed community service, completed classes, etcetera).

     5. You are not currently being charged with another criminal offense, on probation for another criminal offense, or serving a sentence for another criminal offense.

Why It Is Important to Hire An Experienced Attorney

Hiring an experienced and knowledgeable attorney is essential to the success of your misdemeanor expungement case.  Since misdemeanor expungement law can be complex, it is important your case is analyzed by an experienced expungement attorney.  I know the specific rules and requirements allowing me to efficiently move my expungement request through the court system.  Further, the misdemeanor expungement process is often an adversarial process in which the district attorney opposes my request.  I have vast experience in providing persuasive arguments to all involved parties to get the expungement matter granted.  Also, a hearing is often required, which I will attend on your behalf.  You are not required to attend the hearing in 99% of misdemeanor expungement cases.

From the very first day you hire me to handle your misdemeanor expungement case until the day the case has been resolved, I will be there for you every step of the way.  Since I specialize in misdemeanor expungements, I am able to offer my services at the absolute lowest fixed prices and back up my misdemeanor expungement service with my 100% money back guarantee.
